BAX’s Early Childhood Program offers developing toddlers and pre-schoolers creative programming taught by professional and nurturing instructors. Drawing from dance, yoga, and gymnastics, classes introduce children to body movement, group social dynamics, and creative choice-making. Offering drop-in, caregiver, and drop-off classes, children and family can explore creative expression and group space in a range of different class structures.

Starting in Fall 2018, Drop-Off Classes are now on BAX’s Semester Schedule!

Caregiver Classes will remain on the Trimester Schedule.

Early Childhood Classes

Drop-in (with parent or caregiver) — Playspace is a flexible time for children and their families to participate in creative play guided by a BAX teaching artist in an open student environment.

(Ages 1-4)
Explore tunnels, create funky rhythms, and dance with colorful scarves and sort soft vegetables. Children can bring special toys, books, or other childhood comfort items, but must bring their own diapers, wipes, snacks and drinks. Parents must remain on site. Playspace is a PEANUT FREE ENVIRONMENT. This is a wonderful activity to incorporate into your weekly routine and provides an opportunity to meet new friends, socialize and engage in a bright and open space. Playspace runs Mondays and Fridays (9:30-11:30am) from October 29, 2018 through May 3, 2019. Playspace is included in Move & Groove tuition.
